A stroll through downtown Honolulu and Fort Street Mall. Photos taken with a Canon 5d.
We looked, then we saw him, step in on the mat. We looked and we saw him, the cat in the hat!
I’m really into street portraits at the moment. Its a little scary going up to random interesting looking people on the street and asking if you can take their photo. But whats the worst that could happen? They just say “no”. Heres a pair of street portraits from today in Honolulu taken with a Canon […]
A few photos that are a little more abstract from around Honolulu. Since I purchased my camera, I’ve become so much more aware of colors and patterns in everyday life. Its fun trying to capture it all. I’m sure I look like a weirdo taking photos of dimly lit old staircases, odd fluorescent lighting from […]
I’ve been hoping to come across one of these old staircases for awhile and I found one at the Stangenwald Building on Merchant Street downtown. Anyone know of more like this on Oahu?
A few photos from today wandering around downtown Honolulu. I almost didn’t see the lady in the second photo. As always, photos are taken with a Canon 5d.
At the Hawaii State Capitol building toward the end of the day on a Thursday. Taken with a Canon 5d and 24-70L lens. I really like the wavy white post reflections off the shiny floor. The man in the photo turned to look at me soon after this shot. I ran away to the next […]
On my lunch break, wandering Downtown Honolulu, Hawaii today. Taken with my Canon 5d and 24-70mm L lens. I think all these shots were taken on the infamous Hotel Street.
Downtown, Honolulu, Hawaii. All the bike racks downtown are shaped like bicycles. I found this funny looking “zooe bike” and snapped a rainy photo. I can’t seem to find any info about this bike online.
On a rainy day in Honolulu. Playing around with the semi-gimmicky inverted-puddle-reflection-street-photo-thing. I could never seem to find a big enough puddle for anything super amazing though. I guess Honolulu has some good drainage systems.
